The Centre for life-Writing is delighted to present

The Ethics of Biographical Fiction: A Panel Discussion

Wednesday 22 June 2016

18.00 – 19.30
Room 6.32, Virginia Woolf Building, 22 Kingsway, London WC2B 6LE

Please join us to explore the ethics of biofiction with a panel of Lucia Boldrini, Anthony Joseph, Michael Lackey, and Susan Sellers.

Biographical fiction has developed into a popular genre over the past two decades, with award-winning writers such as Joyce Carol Oates, Colm Tóibín, and Hilary Mantel contributing to its increasing visibility. This roundtable brings together researchers and writers of biofiction to shed light on the relationship between an author’s power to shape a historical individual’s afterlife and notions of responsibility, creativity, and truthfulness.

This event is open to all and free to attend.
Registration is required via Eventrbrite: http://biographicafiction.eventbrite.co.uk

We do hope that you can make it.

Best wishes,
