A TANTANOOLA RELEASE BY AUSTRALIAN SCHOLARLY PUBLISHING
‘What if, when I write this body, I am making something real, that is taken up by other bodies that read this body, written?’
Unflinching in the examination of a life marked by trauma and joy, all the beginnings is ultimately a book about falling in love: with writing, children, mothers, and with the self.
‘This is how I learn about love: in the violence of the senses. In the inside. In the outside coming in.’
This is an astonishing new work from a writer who is concerned not only with the question of how we survive after trauma, but how we thrive…Eades weaves together philosophy, autobiography, poetry, and queer theory to achieve a narrative that is as compelling as it is thought provoking, in a voice that is raw, poetic, and unafraid.— Dr Kylie Mirmohamadi
Quinn Eades is a researcher, writer, and award-winning poet whose work lies at the nexus of feminist and queer theories of the body, autobiography, and philosophy. Eades is published nationally and internationally, and is currently working on a psychogeographical history of a body of water near his home in Melbourne.
